Julia Child

Recently, my mom and I watched the movie "Julie and Julia". This movie tells the life story of the famous 60's cook, Julia Child. While telling the story of Mrs. Child (in the 60's), it is at the same time telling the story of Julie, who is a huge fan of Julia living in the present. I really enjoyed this movie. It told the story of Julia Child really well and I think that by showing Julie's life, it showed how much of an impact Julia Child has made on society. (In the world of cooking anyway). This movie had such a strong impact on me, I don't even know why. It may have something to do with the fact that we visited Julia Child's kitchen at the Smithsonian American History Museum this summer, but who knows! Why am I blogging about this?? Well, Julie (the present girl) kept a constant blog on all the recipes she made from Julia Child's cookbook and also just on what was going on in her life at the time- that also inspired me a lot!! The movie also had 2 super awesome actresses. Julia Child was played by the magnificent and inspiring Meryl Streep (LOVE her) and the also inspiring Amy Adams (LOVE her too- plus I feel a conncection because she's LDS). Maybe one day I'll be a famous cook like Julia Child, cooking warm cinnamon rolls that just seem to slowly melt inside your mouth. Or maybe I'll be a famous actress like Meryl Streep, starring in breathtaking roles in movies like "Mamma Mia" or "It's complicated." Who knows what my future holds..... It's one thing to be inspired, but another thing to be inspired and make something of the inspiration.

Amy Adams isn't really LDS...well...she hasn't been excommunicated, but she's never been active! Hahaha :) I've never seen that movie - is it PG-13?
