Homecoming Week 2011

Avatars, Cowboys, various American monuments, and lots and lots of green and gold. Typical homecoming week? Heck. Yes. This week is Homecoming Week at RockBridge High and so far it's been interesting. It's only day 1 and I've seen avatars and Shrek walking around school. Lunch today included blue dancing guys in speedos. Yep, Homecoming week is intense.

Since it's only Day 1, there's still many more festivities to come.....

Tomorrow.... Western Day and Homecoming Queen activities at lunch

Wednesday.... New Orleans Day

Thursday.... Dress like an old person day and bonfire later that night

Friday.... BRUINS SPIRIT DAY! And the football game later that night

Saturday.... The Homecoming Dance

Speaking of the Homecoming Dance, I actually have a story about that. I screamed on the inside with excitement when my friend, Jesse asked me, but as it turns out he didn't really "ask me ask me" , it's hard to explain. But I found out that my other friend, Sam was GOING to ask me, but then my friend Catherine told him that I already had a date. The problem is, my church has this rule that I can't date until I'm 16, so I couldn't go with either!! I'm not going to lie, I was VERY disappointed (especially since there's only 5 months left 'til my birthday), but I honestly do feel better about not going because I know it's the right thing to do. Plus, now I can walk around and say that I was asked to homecoming by two different guys. (:
