Mommy-Daughter Date

My brother, Hunter has been in Utah for the past 2 1/2 weeks and was finally flying home today (Saturday). Someone needed to pick him up, since he's an unaccompanied minor, so my mom and I thought that we'd make a little weekend trip out of it. (My mom also needed new clothes for her upcoming 20th anniversary trip-so I tagged along). We drove up to St. Louis around 2 or 3 in the afternoon, went to our hotel room, and then had a FREE-yes FREE dinner at our hotel. Since the mall was right across the street, we made a quick stop over there, but mostly ended up with clothes for my baby sister. We were going to see a movie, but all the movie times were so late- so we went back to the hotel, watched some TV, talked, and watched random peoples' LDS mission calls on YouTube. (We kinda like odd things...) Both of us could NOT sleep because the people in the room next door thought it would be a great idea to leave their hotel room EVERY HOUR, thus making their door slam and talking super loud. Not only that, but they kept thinking that our hotel room was theirs, so they continually tried to open our door. At around 1am, I was about ready to call the front desk- I guess I'm just too nice of a person to do that ;) . The next morning, we woke up around 8ish and went downstairs for a quick breakfast, but when we got back to the room we were so exhausted from the night before that we laid around and watched TV until like 10:30- talk about a late start!! Finally, at around 11, we left the hotel and headed over to the Galleria to hit up Nordstroms, Fossil, Anthropologie, Ann Taylor, and many many other stores. I found a couple of cute things at Nordstroms, but we put them on hold and never went back to get them... Don't worry though, my mom is going to St. Louis again on Wednesday and is going back to get them for me! After trying on many swimsuits, dresses, and shirts- we finally headed out to the airport to pick up Hunter and went straight home from there. But not without a stop to our favorite restaurant Chick Fil A :) (I really didn't take very many pictures, but here's a few.)

I look so happy... I love this vest. (And this, my friends, is how to make a Body Con mormon-appropriate)
Here's some of the cute stuff I found that my mom is picking up for me on Wednesday. I love Nordstroms.

Why is Chick Fil A so dang good?

Oh, and did I mention that we blasted REM and other New Wave songs all the way there? This one is one of my favs.
XOXO
Mikayla
