Garden of the Gods

Currently, my family is taking a mini-vacation in Colorado Springs, CO for the week. Today was our first "official" day here and so we decided to go to a place called "Garden of the Gods" to go hiking. It is really beautiful. It's a mix of forest and red rock- oh its breath-taking. Yes, there was a ton of complaints about the heat, hurting feet, and the length of the hike, but overall it was a good experience. It was about a 3 1/2 mile hike, but in my opinion, it really wasn't as bad as some hikes I've been on in the past. If you're ever in Colorado Springs, I highly recommend going. The only bit of advice I would give is to go earlier in the day- so it's not so insanely hot...
