The Bright Spot: Saturday!

On Saturday morning, my dad, brother, and I decided to run a 2 mile color run in our town called the "Black and Gold Color Run". We figured "Oh, it's only 2 miles... plus it's a color run- it will be so fun!" If you don't know what a color run is, it's basically a run where they throw colored corn starch from India on you while you run. It's actually pretty fun. Although, at this color run- they only used the gold color because they were supporting Mizzou. It was really fun to get to run this with my Dad and brother. Although, I really wasn't in shape for this. They ran ahead of me, but I just tried to jog at my own pace. It was a really fun way to start my weekend off.

After the run, I went home and showered off, then I started getting ready for Alex's Sweet 16. I carpooled with Karina there and we were one of the first people there. At first everyone just hung out, talked, threw candy on each other (and for some reason, everyone thought it'd be funny to dump a huge bowl of candy on my head...), and played video games. After we ate pizza, we drove over to the bowling alley- where we spent the majority of the party. I was on a team with Ben, Nick, Lexi, and Karina. It was super fun because we had 2 "pro-bowlers" on the team (Ben and Nick) and the rest of us really couldn't play. Haha. But we had lots of fun. After we went bowling, we went back and had cake- which was super yummy! (: We opened presents and then threw glow sticks at each other.... (not sure who's idea that was...) and then Karina and I left 15 minutes early due to a heavy thunderstorm. Overall, it was a really fun party and I'm glad that I went!
