Every month there is a mormon dance in our stake and every month a different ward is in charge of setting it up/ decorating for it. My ward was in charge of the January dance and since this kind of thing is totally up my alley, I basically planned it all and took responsibility for all of it. I wanted to do a winter theme since it was in January, but I also didn't want to do the stereotypical "Winter Wonderland" theme, so after a lot of researching on my favorite website- hostesswiththemostess.com, I got some inspiration for a "Narnia Winter Wonderland". I had a lot of fun planning it, but to be honest, it didn't turn out exactly like I imagined. But I had to remind myself that we only had a limited budget and that it's almost impossible to make a church cultural hall look good. Although I got a ton of compliments and I was really grateful with all the help I received in helping getting it set up (especially my parents and Brother Kitchen and all the young women leaders) Sadly, I wasn't able to be at the dance because of a show choir competition, but my parents were there. We ended up getting a snow cone machine, which my dad helped serve the whole time. From what I heard, it was a hit with the youth. All in all, it turned out really good for a church dance and I was pretty proud of the concept that I came up with.

| The dessert table (before we put the food on it) Also, it looked a lot cooler with the lights off and the string lights on. |

Burlap, wood, and silver/white was the overall color scheme I was trying to go for.
