Global Village

Every year in March, my school does something super super cool called Global Village. It's one of the main things about my school that I love so much. Basically Global Village is a day where people set up booths representing different countries and the rest of us walk around, try their food, listen to their music, and learn cool things about their country. Every year I am so amazed with how much culture we have in our school. A lot of the people who host the booths are actually from that country most of the time- so it is just too cool. My favorite booths are almost always France, Germany, Ireland, the African-American one, and USA (yes, we have a USA one). I'm pretty sure that we had a booth for almost every country because there were some countries that I had never heard of before. All in all, I LOVE Global Village and I'm so lucky that I get to go to such an awesome school that celebrates culture.

Courtney, Nick, and I getting a crepes at the France booth- YUM.
They made the crepes FRESH. Yum.

The African-American booth. This booth cracks me up. Last year they had fried chicken, kool-aid, and watermelon. This year they had waffles, mac & cheese, some rice stuff from Kenya, and black-eyed peas. On top of that, they had rap music blasting.

The Ireland booth. The show choir guys have gotten together for the past 2 years to do this.  So cute. I love it.

The America booth. Complete with a pick up truck, lots of American flags, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Coca-Cola, and American music. Hahaha

XOXO
