I have decided where I will be attending college next year!! Hallelujah!!
Starting in August 2014, I will be a SNOW COLLEGE BADGER!!
Words can't express how incredibly excited I am. :)
For those who don't know anything about Snow College, here's a few fast facts:
1.) It is located in the cute little town of Ephraim, Utah (which is about 120 miles south of Salt Lake City)
2.) In 1900 it was renamed Snow Academy in honor of Lorenzo Snow, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his cousin Erastus, who was instrumental in settling the Sanpete Valley.
3.) The college was transferred from the LDS church to the state of Utah in 1932.
4.) The theatre arts program at Snow College is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre and is affiliated with the Juilliard Drama Division.
5.) The school colors are blue and orange and the mascot is a Badger.
I will be majoring in the Communications program with an emphasis on Public Relations. Although Snow College technically doesn't do minors, I'm unofficially declaring my minor to be musical theatre.
I will be only 10 minutes away from my grandparents, 30 minutes away from my cousins, and an hour away from Provo (where a ton of my friends are going.)
I'M SO EXCITED!! (and that's an understatement. I already have a roommate and my college schedule is already done- so I'm all set!
My move-in date is August 16th, so only 168 more days to go!
