Nerdy prom dates

Yesterday, we had one of our monthly LDS stake dances. The theme for this month's was a "Nerd Dance, aka collared shirts, big glasses, and high socks. Not gonna lie, these past few stake dances have been an absolute bore for me. No matter how hard I try, I just haven't been able to get pumped up and in my normal party mode. It might be because I'm a senior and ready to leave and move on to bigger/better things, but I don't know. However, last night's dance was a totally BLAST. I think the fact that I was already hyped up before I got there was the reason why I had so much fun. It took me back to the old days when I used to LIVE for the monthly dances and go off-the-walls when I got there. I didn't really have time to get into my whole nerd apparel since I was stuck at the hair salon for 4 HOURS. (that's a story for another time) But I think what I did do turned out pretty well.

Just when I thought the dance couldn't get any more fun, my friend Garrett forced asked me to slow dance. (Side note: I hate slow dancing, I try to avoid doing it at all costs.) His friends kept staring at us the whole time, which was kinda weird, but I didn't really think anything of it. When the song ended, instead of letting me go, he lead me over to the back of the room. I was confused as to what was going on when suddenly he ripped off his button down shirt. Underneath was a plain white t-shirt that said "Prom? Check yes or yes". So hilarious. Then he made me actually check a box with a sharpie. So I now have a date for Mormon Prom and I am so so excited!!

Overall, it was a Saturday night well-spent!

Until next time...

XOXO
