Friends.

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing a good friend of mine for my Journalistic Writing class. I'm writing a story about the fact that he had a brain mass and was in the hospital for a long time. And I can't stop thinking about some things he said during our interview. He said, " When I had to come to school with no hair, wearing a hat- all I wanted to do was sit in a corner and not be seen. But when I came to seminary, I felt like I didn't need to hide and that  I could be myself." He also said, "One of the good things about this experience was that I found out who my real friends were and who actually cared about me." Both of these quotes stuck in my mind and have been all day long. They made me realize how grateful I am for the friends I have. I know that if I ever got hurt or got put in the hospital, they would be right by my side and I am so grateful for that. I'm especially grateful for the number of LDS friends I have in my life. Even though some of them get on my nerves a lot of the time, I'm still grateful that I have them. I know that Heavenly Father puts people in our lives for a reason and each one of my friends has strengthened me in some way, LDS or not, and I am so grateful for that.

To all my friends who actually read this blog-- thank you for your friendship and your example(s) you've set for me. I love you all so so much!!

XOXO

Mikayla
