Where's Waldo??

You may remember this classic character from the popular children's books called "Where's Waldo?". If you've never heard of these books or this character, basically the books place Waldo in "hiding places" on every page and you have to try to find him. Most of the time it's pretty easy because he's wearing a red striped hat and shirt and blue pants. Anyways... our youth group at church decided to take this classic book to the next level and we made a game out of it. Instead of 1 Waldo, we had 4 and they were all adults from our ward. Rather than dressing in red striped shirts and blue pants, we had them each dress as an "everyday person"- i.e. a pregnant lady, a gangster, etc. and then we had to find them all.

It was a super fun activity and a really good idea. We went on a night where there were hardly any other people in the mall, so you would think that would make the game easier- but no. It took us about an hour to find all of our people, but in the end we did. I would totally do this activity again- it was so fun!
My team looking for the Waldos...

We found one! Sister Cheney was disguised as an old lady in Dillards.

We had to have the Waldos sign our paper when we found them- and we also had chances to do service opportunities.

The four Waldos- (from left to right): Sister Cheney was an old lady, Sister Phillips was a pregnant lady with a wig on, Sister Jensen was a pregnant lady with a nose ring, and Brother Papa was a gangster looking guy.
XOXO
